SecureClaw Enhances Cybersecurity with VAPT and BDSLCCI Framework for Chemical Adhesive Manufacturing Company

The Chemical Adhesive Manufacturing Company is a leading player in the industrial adhesives sector, known for producing high‑performance bonding solutions used across automotive, construction, packaging, and consumer goods industries. With a strong reputation for innovation and quality, the company has built a global presence by delivering reliable products that meet the demanding requirements of modern manufacturing.

Cyber Threat Landscape

As a critical supplier to multiple industries, the company operates complex production facilities and manages sensitive intellectual property, making cybersecurity a vital part of its operations. Protecting proprietary formulations, safeguarding customer data, and ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing processes are essential to maintaining trust and competitiveness in the market.

On the shop floor of chemical companies, tensile machines and other connected industrial equipment are increasingly integrated with digital systems for monitoring, automation, and reporting. While this connectivity improves efficiency and precision, it also introduces new cybersecurity risks. Tensile machines can be hacked through vulnerabilities in industrial control systems, insecure network configurations, or compromised software updates. Attackers who gain access could manipulate machine settings, disrupt testing processes, or cause inaccurate results, which in turn may affect product quality and compliance with safety standards. Beyond operational disruption, such attacks can pose serious safety hazards to workers and lead to financial losses due to downtime or damaged equipment. This highlights the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures that protect not only IT systems but also operational technology (OT) on the shop floor.

Project Details

SecureClaw’s cybersecurity engagement for the chemical adhesive manufacturer involved a multi-layered approach. Through Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) of applications, the team was able to uncover weaknesses in business-critical software, including misconfigurations, insecure coding practices, and potential entry points for attackers. These findings allowed the client to remediate issues proactively, strengthening the resilience of their application landscape.

In parallel, SecureClaw carried out cloud infrastructure audits, ensuring that storage, compute, and access controls were properly secured. This helped the client identify gaps in identity management, encryption, and compliance with industry standards, ultimately reducing the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive data.

The engagement also included a security audit of endpoints and network devices, covering laptops, desktops, routers, switches, and firewalls. By analyzing configurations, patch levels, and access policies, SecureClaw highlighted vulnerabilities that could have been exploited to compromise the wider network. Addressing these issues improved endpoint protection and reinforced the overall security posture of the organization.

Together, these efforts enabled the client to not only identify and fix vulnerabilities across applications, cloud systems, and infrastructure but also to establish a more robust, layered defense against evolving cyber threats.

Apart from these technical audit and fixes, SecureClaw implemented the BDSLCCI framework to help the chemical adhesive manufacturer establish a unified and robust cybersecurity posture across its entire organization.

The BDSLCCI framework treats tensile machines and other operational technology as mission-critical assets, and it provides recommended cybersecurity controls to safeguard them against potential cyber threats.By adopting the framework’s recommended policies and guidelines, the company was able to strengthen protection from the shop floor to the top floor - safeguarding both operational technology in manufacturing plants and enterprise IT systems in corporate offices. This holistic approach ensured that security controls were standardized, compliance requirements were met, and cyber risks were mitigated across all layers of the business. Ultimately, the framework empowered the organization to build a culture of security, aligning day‑to‑day operations with strategic governance and resilience objectives.
